The 10th U19 Men’s World Handball Championship was officially opened in Varazdin Arena with a ceremony before the start of the match Croatia versus Algeria. After the parade of the flags of the 32 participating countries and the flag of the Championship, the spectators were greeted by distinguished guests.
The IHF President Hasan Moustafa, the Croatian Handball Federation President Tomislav Grahovac and the city of Varazdin Major Neven Bosilj stated their welcome speeches and wish all the participant a bit of luck in four Croatian host cities: Varazdin, Koprivnica, Opatija and Rijeka.
