Just a little less than a month until M19 IHF World Championship in Croatia starts. Thirty-two teams, four beautiful cities, and lots of great handball awaits us.
M19 IHF World Championship will be held from 2nd until 13th of August in four Croatian cities – Varaždin, Koprivnica, Opatija and Rijeka. In the Preliminary Round of World Championship, two groups will be stationed in each city. Varaždin will host groups A and B, Koprivnica C and D. Groups E and F will play in Rijeka, while groups G and H will play in Opatija.
In the Main Round of the competition, all teams will stay in the city where they played in the Preliminary Round. After the Main Round, best eight teams are going to Varaždin for the Final Round. Koprivnica will host Placement Matches from 9th to 16th place. Rijeka and Opatija will host President Cup Placement Matches. Matches from 17th to 24th place will be played in Rijeka, and Opatija will host matches from 25th to 32nd place.
Sports halls that will host this competition are Arena Varaždin in Varaždin, Center Zamet in Rijeka, Sports Hall Marino Cvetković in Opatija and Arena Koprivnica in Koprivnica.
Croatia, Croatian Handball Federation and these four cities are ready for this great event and can’t wait for it to start on 2nd of August.
